A small town in the Creuse, in the Châtaigneraie region, Boussac-Bourg takes place at the gates of Boussac, not far from Aubusson, Préveranges or Saint-Palais.
According to local legend, Boussac-Bourg was born from the establishment of a lookout post at the confluence of the Petite Creuse and the Beyroux, in Gallo-Roman times. Devastated by the Vandals in the 4th century, this first city would not have been rebuilt until around the year one thousand. It was not until the second half of the 20th century that the town experienced significant development linked to the industrialization of the territory, soon becoming the first industrial center of the Creuse.
Today very prosperous, the municipality of Boussac-Bourg has also invested in tourism, offering visitors numerous infrastructures as well as beautiful green spaces.
