Founded in the 19th century, the Berry Museum of Bourges unveils a collection founded by Claude-Denis Mater, a politician of the time. Installed in the Hôtel Cujas, a 16th century private mansion listed as a Historic Monument, it presents in particular paintings and sculptures from the 15th to the 19th century, drawings, engravings, works of art and antiques.
In January 2023, the Berry Museum closed its doors to the public for two years, in order to benefit from major restoration work.
