Located in the Oise region Hauts-de-France, Bornel is a new municipality created on January 1, 2016 by the merger of Bornel, Anserville, and Fosseuse. It takes place on the edge of the Val-d'Oise, only 40 km from Beauvais and its famous cathedral.
Populated since the Gallo-Roman era, the region of Bornel developed particularly in the Middle Ages, later illustrating itself as the home of Queen Margot and her love court in the sixteenth century. Today, Bornel continues to attract visitors for its architectural heritage, as much as for the charm of its countryside landscapes.
Its proximity to Beauvais, a tourist town par excellence, makes Bornel an ideal place to spend a few days of holidays in the heart of the Oise.
