Borgo

City Borgo is divided into several neighborhoods that all have a certain charm and different sights to discover.

Perched on a rock, the old village of Borgo dominates the sea and you can admire the distance, the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, such as Elba and Montecristo. You can still enjoy shale houses with typical architecture of the region.

Listed building, the Church of the Annunciation is a gothic building built in the seventeenth century. Inside, you can admire the procession of lanterns and a sacristy cabinet classified historic monument as objects.

In 1450 hectares, the Biguglia covers several municipalities, including Borgo. This is an important nature reserve for a migratory people.

The Lido of Marana is a sandy beach of about ten kilometers. One part is the property of the Coastal Conservancy, and beauty helped Borgo be classified tourist town. The site was the scene of beautiful walks and various leisure activities of all kinds.

The ruins of the bell tower of St. Appiano now used cemetery in the city of Borgo. They rise on a small promontory overlooking the city and have two bronze bells classified historical monument.
