Borée

A contemporary megalithic work, the Tchier de Borée was created by two sculptor sculptors, Serge Boyer and Fabienne Versé. Adepts of Land Art, they produced this set in 2008 which attracts many visitors each year. It represents a monumental calendar of 70 engraved raised stones.

Be sure to visit the village church with its charming bichromic facade and black Madonna on the altar.

Built in the Neolithic period, the Baumes dolmen consists of three phonolite orthostats and a cover slab. It measures nearly 2.5 meters high and 2.3 meters long.

The village is mainly known for its winter sports resort in the Mézenc massif with its snowshoeing areas, Nordic area and downhill ski slopes. The town also has many marked hiking trails to admire the most beautiful natural sites. Not to be missed, the GRP Tour Massif Mézenc / Gerbier-de-Jonc.

If you enjoy outdoor life and outdoor recreation, you can go to the Lantal wood or to the rock of Pradaux for walks with family or friends. Mountain biking or horse riding are also very popular activities in the area.

• A cabbage soup is organized at the beginning of August by the association Les amis du Mézenc.
• A cultural meal with flavors of the world prepared by young people from different horizons of the EJ'N colony, Euroboréenne is organized at the beginning of August. The evening is followed by a torchlight procession and fireworks.
• Every August 15, the village organizes its famous fair with a sale of local products, a festive meal, a petanque tournament and a garage sale.
