Municipality of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region, Bonne takes place about forty kilometers from Annecy and its lake, in the heart of the Greater Geneva agglomeration. Crossed by the Menoge, it is also located not far from Nangy, Juvigny and Contamine-sur-Arve.
Occupied since prehistoric times, the territory of Bonne has known over the centuries an important military history, seeing the Genevans, the Bernese and the French clash at different times. Really created in the course of the thirteenth century, the town then continued to develop despite the tragedies of history like the wars of religion which made Bonne the scene of bloody battles in the sixteenth century.
Located between 496 and 1303 meters above sea level, the municipality of Bonne continues to attract the interest of passing visitors today because of its rich natural heritage and its proximity to Switzerland.
