Things to see and do

The chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Chêne, which is inscribed in the Historical Monuments, is the only one to bear the name of Sancta Maria ad Robur throughout Alsace. The building features a late 15th century bell tower and a baroque main altar. Inside, it is possible to admire statues and paintings coming straight from the Capuchin convent and saved from destruction during the French Revolution. You will admire under the porch the Mont des Oliviers installed in the middle of the XIXe century.

Today the college of missions, the old castle of Blotzheim dates from 1730. It takes place on the remains of the first castle built in medieval times and destroyed in the middle of the fifteenth century. The building has been occupied by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit since 1920.

The Saint-Léger church, also known as the Sundgau Cathedral, was erected in the mid-19th century. It is the work of an architect from Belfort, Diogenes Poisat. It takes place near the old chapel of Saint-Léger, dating from medieval times, and inscribed in the general inventory of cultural heritage.

As you walk through Blotzheim, you can also discover the Gyger Farm located in the former priory of the city. Renovated in 1733, it was originally used as a Cistercian monastery. Several farms are listed in the general inventory of cultural heritage.

In 2008, a casino opened in the ancient spa town, featuring slot machines, games tables and other popular entertainment.
