Things to see and do

City Blagnac can appreciate different sightseeing facing diverse and varied fields.

Built under the Roman empire, the middle of the first century AD, the Roman amphitheater of Purpan is surely the oldest monument Blagnac. Classified as an historic monument, it served especially for gladiatorial games before becoming an important archeological site today. The monument was built in brick, and is almost 115 meters long. In recent years, it is the subject of particular importance excavations orchestrated by the university of the city of Toulouse.

Grouping of seventeenth-century buildings, Abbey Blagnac this building, a chapel and a castle. After private home, hospital or even venue German soldiers during World War II, the site is now occupied by the Dominicans. The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Catherine of Siena, Gothic Revival, saw its murals and stained glass windows listed on the inventory of Historical Monuments.

The museum Aeroscopia Blagnac is the main tourist attraction of the city. Focused on aeronautics, installed near the site AéroConstellation, and hosted no less than two Concordes. We can discover a twenty aircraft, as well as models.

Events and festivities

Blagnac The market is held every Tuesday and Thursday morning. An organic market is held on Saturday mornings.

Festival for young and old, luluberlu takes place in May with shows of all kinds, entertainment for children and other wonders to discover during three days.

Also in May, the IBO festival is the opportunity to admire the works of photographers around the businesses Blagnac.
