The Museum of Fine Arts Béziers, in Hérault, was established in 1859. It is housed in two mansions of the old center of the city that were bequeathed to the community.
Labeled Museum of France, the establishment has a share in the hotel Fayet the works of sculptor Jean Antoine Injalbert biterrois (1845-1933), author of numerous monuments in the region but also in Paris (Bridge Battery Mirabeau) and who bequeathed his studio in the city. This collection includes some 1700 rooms: terracotta, plaster, marble and bronze. On the same site, are also visible paintings and sculptures of the nineteenth century.
At the hotel the other Fabrégat are exhibited drawings by Jean Moulin (native Béziers) and the collection of modern art that the leader of the Resistance was formed, modern and contemporary works but also paintings older (fifteenth century to the present) and drawings of the eighteenth and nineteenth.
The museum of Fine Arts Béziers further includes signed pieces Kisling, Soutine, Dufy, de Chirico.
