Located in the heart of the Périgord Nord, in the town of Beynac-et-Cazenac, in the Dordogne, the Saint-Martial church was built in the 12th century. Partly transformed in the 15th century, it now benefits from an inscription in the Historic Monuments.
Covered with slate, the Saint-Martial church charms with its mainly Romanesque architecture, in particular with its bell tower with two bays. Inside, the Gothic style dominates with ribbed crossings throughout the building.
Largely restored at the end of the 1980s, with the addition of stained glass windows representing rural life, it unveils several objects classified as Historical Monuments like its tabernacle and the predella of its high altar dating from the 18th century.
