Beuvron-en-Auge, the former fiefdom of the Harcourt family, is listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in France, and is surely one of the most charming in Pays d'Auge! You can take an enjoyable stroll on its streets, admiring its perfectly restored half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, and the delightful manors dotted about the surrounding countryside.
The village is remarkable for its unique central square with its timber-framed covered market, surrounded by beautiful half-timbered houses. The superb Vieux Manoir from the 16th century, with a timber frame and carved beams, is the best-known of these buildings. The old Boule d'Or inn, built in the 18th century, is another must-see.
A space for craft trades containing artisans' workshops has been set up in the old school. A ceramist, a carpenter, a cutler and a porcelain painter can be found there.
Beuvron-en-Auge is located on the Cider Route, 40 kilometres of landscapes and local heritage including stud farms, castles and Norman manors. From Clermont Chapel, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Dives Valley and the surrounding hills.
Awarded the label of the Most Beautiful Villages of France and village of character of Calvados, Beuvron-en-Auge is located in Calvados, in Normandy, 2 hours from Paris, 1 hour from Rouen and about thirty kilometers from Caen or Lisieux.
Located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, on the cider route and nestled in the Dives marshes, this former stronghold of the Harcourt family looks like postcards with its old manor house, its half-timbered houses of wood alongside brick, its halls and its arts and crafts area.
A village that smells of the land, like its restaurants, its small shops and its local producers, all surrounded by fields of apple trees and stud farms scattered in the countryside.
Beuvron-en-Auge, remarkable for its typical architecture, is an essential stopover during a visit to Normandy.
Full of charm, the village of Beuvron-en-Auge is a small jewel of Norman architecture, dominated by timber framing. Some buildings are unmissable.
The village center is worth a detour. Half-timbered houses line the Place Michel Vermughen with its halls, restored in the 1970s, with old materials that house antique shops and the 1-star Michelin gourmet restaurant, the Pavé d'Auge. Restaurants and shops with beautiful old-fashioned storefronts line the square.
The Saint-Michel chapel in Clermont-en-Auge was built in the 12th century in Romanesque style. Accessible via a very beautiful beech forest several hundred years old, it offers a breathtaking panorama of the Dives valley and the forests of the Orne after a six-kilometre hike or 2.5 kilometers by car from Beuvron-en-Auge.

The old 18th century Boule d'or inn is worth a look.
Three buildings of Beuvron-en-Auge are registered as Historic Monuments, namely the manor of Lieu Hocquart, the manor of the 15th century village which adjoins the square, remarkable for its sculptures on the beams and the manor of the Hogue.
The village of Beuvron-en-Auge has only 193 inhabitants but it offers many local festivals and other cultural events.
In May, the village offers its geranium fair to celebrate the arrival of spring and highlight its status as a village in bloom. Founded in 1985, it is an opportunity to discover about thirty horticulturists and other nurserymen, all in a musical atmosphere.
The antiques and second-hand goods fair is held in July. A flea market takes place every year on the first Sunday of August, the opportunity to do good business.
Big flagship event of Beuvron-en-Auge, the cider festival, since 1972, allows to appreciate the local drink in all its forms every last weekend of October. A large market of local products, entertainment for children and a dance floor installed on the village square, to move to the tunes of the orchestra.

- From April 2 to 7, I'll be working in my workshop with large windows directly overlooking the courtyard where I work. I'll also be doing my best to have the store open at the same time, depending on my creations. I'll be offering on-the-spot sharpening for your pocket knife (1 ? 50 for a blade under 13cm).You'll be able to see me in the workshop through the windows, working on my creations and orders. For safety reasons, I prefer not to give tours of the workshop while I'm working, to avoid any risk of metal splinters.

At the Espace des Métiers d'Art, cabinetmaker Stéphane Pierre de la Brière demonstrates his woodworking skills. Knifemaker Julien Thieblemont invites you to discover his bespoke creations. You can watch him working his knives outside his workshop from April 2 to 5. In the village, Fabienne Campion shows you her lampshade creations.

- Welcome to "Les créations d'Alice" ! I'm lucky enough to work in the heart of one of France's most beautiful villages, Beuvron-en-Auge. Creating lampshades is a real passion for me, combining patience, self-control and rigor. During your visit, I'll show you my different techniques and the various new and old materials I use to make my lampshades, especially lamp bases, which I give a second life. Various second-hand objects can be discovered in the adjoining store. Other arts and crafts will also be on show at the "espace des métiers d'art" in the village during JEMA 2024.

Discover the Cider Route from Beuvron-en-Auge. It is a signposted 40 km route crossing fields of apple trees and small Auge villages. This route will take you to discover the producers of cider, pommeau and calvados through small picturesque roads, real postcards of Normandy. Discover around twenty local producers who welcome you throughout the year. On the Cider Route, distilleries and cider houses are indicated by the sign "Cru de Cambremer".
5 minutes by car from the village, the chapel of Saint-Michel de Clermont dominates the Pays d'Auge. Magnificent chapel with a remarkable view, it was founded, it is said, at the time of William the Conqueror. By pushing the door of the building, we find a stone altar from the 12th century and other classified furniture. Open all year. 7 km on foot, 2 km by car.
Diversity of styles and materials, altarpieces, statues... discover the charming churches in the area: Hotot-en-Auge, Putot-en-Auge, Brucourt, Grangues, Heuland, Beaufour-Druval, Gerrots...
You like castles: the castle of Crèvecoeur, 10 km from Beuvron-en-Auge is an exceptional medieval site with a program of activities offered throughout the year, with the Schlumberger museum which retraces the story of two young scientific researchers. Also located nearby, the castle of Saint-Pierre-du-Jonquet, this 18th century "country house" is a fine example of classical architecture which has retained all of its stone or half-timbered outbuildings.
If you like horseback riding, equestrian centers invite you to discover the Pays d'Auge as a couple, with family or friends: the equestrian farm of six paths in Saint-Jouin and the equestrian center of Picotains in Basseneville.
For children, activities are also offered. Meet at the Lieu Roussel educational farm: explore the farm among the farm animals and discover the cider-making activity. Sale of farm products, AOP cider products. The Silly park in Dozulé, located 7 km from Beuvron-en-Auge, is a play area with a ping-pong table, a swing and various courses (adventure and health) for children from 3 to 12 years old, in the heart of a haven of nature.
