The village of Bessais-le-Fromental is located east of Saint-Amand-Montrond. In its center, the Saint Martin (eleventh / twelfth century) is assigned to the chapter Saint-Ursin in 1080 by Ségaud. The tithes were paid to Cornusse. It has undergone some changes after being burned in the sixteenth century and altered by the wars of religion: traces of the steeple reflect the lowering of roofs.
