Bergholtzzell is located in the heart of the tourist route of the road of Alsace wines, 5 km from Guebwiller Soultzmatt. The village was founded around the year 700 by a small community of monks governed by St. Pirmin, founder of the famous Abbey of Murbach. The common Bergholtzzell is best known for his ordeal of Oelberg five oratories and chapels depict the Passion of Christ. A will also discover a polychrome wooden reproduction of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
