The vineyard Benais an area of 200 hectares holds a special place in the Bourgueil appellation. It is mainly located on clay-limestone, which gives wines with solid structure, closed in their youth but age beautifully. Another feature of Benais is the presence of numerous caves carved into the tufa. Formerly career which was extracted from building stone (some remained in operation until 1950), they are now ripening wine.
