The town of Beaux is located in the department of Haute-Loire.
Its area is 1678 hectares with a minimum altitude of 475 meters and a maximum of 920 meters.

February 11, 1829, a royal decree of Charles, King of France and Navarre erects succursalle of Beaux by the meeting of villages Gorce and Bois-Long Yssingeaux and villages Arnoux Ranche, Courenc, Peyre, Arzilhac, Malataverne Retournac.
