The seaside town of Alpes-Maritimes, Beaulieu-sur-Mer is located between Nice and Monaco in the east of Cap Ferrat. At only ten kilometers from Nice, it is nestled in the heart of lush vegetation, surrounded by palm trees. Things to see and do

Seaside resort on the French Riviera, Beaulieu-sur-Mer lacks neither charm nor tourist attractions. The typical architecture of the late nineteenth century and several traces of its glorious past are there to offer any unique beauty to this Mediterranean city.

The Villa Kerylos, built by Emmanuel Pontremoli in the early twentieth century, is one of the symbolic sites Beaulieu-sur-Mer. On its rocky promontory, it overlooks the Mediterranean and offers to visitors a style modeled on the villas of ancient Greece. Classified as an historic monument, it is full of frescoes depicting Greek mythology and other artistic splendor. Note especially the peristyle, a courtyard surrounded by white marble columns and frescoes inspired by Attic vases.

Walking through the streets of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, it is possible to admire many vestiges of the early twentieth century, like the former Hotel Bristol. Built in 1898, this six-storey building which is now a luxury residence, hosted the biggest crowned heads of Europe. The Rotunda, located next door, was listed in the inventory of historical monuments.

The villa of May, early nineteenth century, for its part welcomes the Museum of History and Archaeology of the city of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. One can discover particular parts, like the living room of Diana, the lounge with love, or the show Judgement of Paris, classified as an historic monument.

The palace of the English, formerly Hôtel des Anglais, was one of the first hotels in the city. You can still admire the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom and caryatids. Today it is an apartment building.

The casino, full of charm, is the opportunity to enjoy many shows and to learn the slot machines or other blackjack tables.

The church of the Sacred Heart in 1899, and the Chapel Sancta Maria de Olivo, the eleventh century, are not lacking either of interest.

But Beaulieu-sur-Mer is also beaches and a port, such as the Bay of Ants, a family beach offering an incomparable view of the Greek Villa Kerylos. Largest, Little Africa can enjoy a playground for children and a beach volleyball court.

Difficult not to succumb to one of the many cultural and sporting events organized by the city of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, streets and harbor of the seaside town are constantly boiling.

In June, St. Pierre Beaulieu-sur-Mer party by focusing on fishing and traditions. This is the opportunity to attend an exhibition of boats or photos on local fisheries.

In early July, room for Guitars Nights, a music festival to attend the greatest musicians of our time concerts. From around the world, they offer shows of all genres.

Every September, the city hosts the Festival Classic Beaulieu. The opportunity to enjoy prestigious concerts, and enjoy the greatest classical musicians worldwide. An exceptional gala closing this consistently high-flying event.
