Installed in the old watchmaking workshops of the municipality of Beaucourt, in the Territoire de Belfort, the Frédéric Japy museum is dedicated to the ancient industrial dynasty of the Japy. Opened in the mid-1980s, it reveals through its collections the entire history of the industrialization of watchmaking and the development of a simple 18th century manufacture that became the second largest French industrial concentration under the Second Empire.
On the program of the Frédéric Japy Museum, temporary thematic exhibitions, as well as a permanent collection rich in documents, tools and timepieces.
