This village is known for its beautiful Romanesque church, Saint-Laurent de Béard, dating from the 12th century, classified as a Historic Monument. Its history has been eventful over the centuries with in particular a fire which devastated it in 1359 (traces visible on the stones of the bell tower) and looting during the Revolution.
