The castle garden of Ballue is located in the municipality of Bazouges-la-Pérouse in Ille-et-Vilaine, 25 km south of Mont Saint-Michel.
Laid during the construction of the castle in the seventeenth century with which he composed an area that inspired famous poets, the park was redesigned to XX and XXI centuries, drawing and reinterpreting its original appearance.
It consists of a share of a geometric garden as a terrace next to the castle, where beds are visible triangles, yew and privet wrought.
It is connected to the other via a tunnel of black yew trees and wisteria to a second garden inspired by the Baroque Italy, designed as a "rite of passage" where the visitor passes constantly darkness to light, all inviting to dream: there are 13 green rooms also evoking the world of Alice in Wonderland.
A third garden was designed in the moat. In this space are also seeing a Zen garden, a botanical boxwood collection including 400 "subjects", a pond with ducks and even a chicken coop where live chickens and roosters collection.
The area is protected as historical monuments and the park is labeled Remarkable Garden.
