Located in the center of the city, St. Matthias Church is one of the largest in the diocese of Angoulême. This huge building, built in the twelfth century was particularly affected the religious wars. It has been remodeled many times until the nineteenth century. On its front, the statues of St. Peter and St. Mathias surround the bay of the bell tower. The relics of these two saints and a fragment of the True Cross based in the sanctuary. Inside, two imposing canvas, signed Vincent, 1786, representing the Assumption and Christ healing the sick. A note also: all windows and beautiful organ.
