Castle Badefols-d'Ans:
The castle is part of a package including park, terrace, garden and common, which is the site Badefols-d'Ans at a distance of 6 km from Hautefort.
The keep and towers, the 13th and 15th century have a defensive position at 300 meters altitude. A 17th century building, Mansard style, the castle hideout north-east side.
After several successive owners, the castle was bought by the family of Labrousse Beauregard in 1869, and remains the property of families Lestrade Conty and Clement. Following the resistance activities of Count Jean de Lestrade of Conty, the castle was burned down in April 1944 by German troops.
Restored by the Ministry of Reconstruction and Fine Arts, it does not contain any furniture or antiques of value. It is not open to visitors.
