Azay-sur-Cher is part of the Community of Municipalities Touraine-Est Vallées (CCTEV).
Local products:

At 4 place de la poste, short circuit food trade (fruits and vegetables, cheese and dairy products, groceries, bulk products, meat, poultry and cold cuts, fruit juice, beers and wine, organic products).
Au Patouillard, dairy products produced on the farm (raw and / or pasteurized milk, flavored milk, natural firm yogurt, stirred yogurt with fruit, drinkable yogurt).

Since June 2018, opening of the Vélo-Route "Cœur de France - Val de Cher": Berges du Cher: area dedicated to cyclists (with WiFi, luggage concierge, toilets, inflator, electric charging station and repair equipment for the two wheels...), but also to walkers (departure of several hiking circuits), to fishermen (a fishing pontoon, a boat hold and a family fishing course) and to motorhomes (area with automated management and secure), a children's play area, two pétanque grounds and picnic tables.
Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Church: The old church was burnt down during the Hundred Years War. The spire of the current bell tower dates from the 15th century (its base from the 12th), the chapel from the 17th century. Restored and altered over the centuries, the current church dates from the 1860s. Stained glass windows by Lobin, master glassmaker and sculptures by Abbé Guillot who remained in office for about thirty years.
Priory of Saint-Jean du Grais: priory of the 12th and 13th centuries. Regular Priory of the Order of Saint Augustine. The church was founded in 1017 by Foulques Nerra. Private residence open during Heritage Days.

The 2nd Sunday in September: Les Puces d'Azay organized by ATTAC at the H. Alary sports complex.
The 1st weekend of December: Christmas market and Telethon at the Revaux / Foucher space.
