Bas-Rhin village, in the Grand Est region, Avolsheim takes place at the foot of the vineyards of Finkenberg, about thirty kilometers from Strasbourg. It is located in the historical region of Alsace, near Molsheim, Wolsheim and Soultz-les-Bains.
Present from the eighth century, the town of Avolsheim takes place then on the old Gallo-Roman road linking Molsheim to Saverne. Formerly composed of two separate hamlets, it was the property of the bishopric of Strasbourg in the Middle Ages.
Full of charm, the Alsatian city continues to attract visitors with its rich historical and architectural heritage, but also by its proximity to some of the most beautiful cities in the region. Its landscapes, preserved and unique, are also the opportunity to make some nice walks to discover the local fauna and flora.
