The town of Auriol takes place in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Provence-Alpes -Côte d'Azur. That called Provençal Auruou is between the mountains of Garlaban, the Sainte -Baume and Regagnas, in the city of Aix- Marseille- Provence, country of Aubagne and Etoile.

Inhabited since Neolithic times, the city of Auriol saw the installation of the Phoenicians and Romans in ancient times. Things to see and do

Located in the heart of Marcel Pagnol, in the heart of Provence, the city of Auriol has some beautiful historic monuments.

The city museum offers conferences and exhibitions on the history of the area, including archaeological discoveries found in the territory.

Walking through the streets, visitors enjoy the ruins of the medieval castle, the medieval ancient ovens, or the church and its beautiful facade Republican, listed building to his pulpit and altar.

Holy Cross Chapel, you can enjoy an incredible view of the village and its surroundings.

The Auriol market is held on Thursday and Saturday morning on the course of 4 September.

A Christmas fair is held every year in December.

Every year in April, the city hosts its Horse Fair and cattle with a craft market and food tasting.

In early June, Festi'Pause is a hip-hop festival that invades the center with arts performances of the street.

Place the feast of Saint-Eloi in July. On this occasion, the city offers dances, an aioli or a Provencal cavalcade. At the same time also held the feast of St. Peter with a funfair.

In July, the city offers its children's festival with entertainment and shows.

September sees the arrival of the feast of sausage and pudding.
