Arques

Significant of the Cathars in France, the village of Arques still has some beautiful sights recalling that period of history.

Former stronghold of the late thirteenth century the castle Arques was classified historic monument to the late nineteenth century. Former property of the lords of terms, he has all the attributes of a castle as the keep the curtains or the fortified gate, but did not have the status. The strong Arques house consists of an enclosure and a high square tower, and was built just after the crusade against the Albigensians.
