Castle Armentières-sur-Ourcq was built from the 13th to the 16th century and is nestled in a valley near the Ourcq in a small local Picard named "Omois", bordering Ile-de-France and Champagne. It is attached to the story of two great families of France: Juvenal Orsini family which had its heyday during the Renaissance and the family of Conflans Armentières who gave a Marshal of France.
