The St Martin's Church : Ranked historical heritage in 1862 Located in the oldest part of town, a few meters from the left bank of the Indre, this beautiful religious building in Romanesque style, is undoubtedly the flagship the historical and artistic heritage of Ardentes. It was attached to the abbey Deols in 1117 by the Archbishop of Bourges Léodegaire and Pope Pascal II. It has similar to those capitals of the abbey, and a sculpture of a lamb halo on one of the keys to the arches of the north portal was probably done by the same worker. In 1839, when the meeting of two common Saint Martin and Saint Vincent Ardentes, St. Martin ceased to be a parish church. It is always assigned to worship as simple chapel.
The St Vincent ( XVe- 19th century ) Church : This Gothic church dates from the 15th century but its bell tower was rebuilt in 1869 Its bell from 1578 is dedicated to Saint memory. At heart are present two remarkable windows of 1884 signed by Fournier Tour. They represent Saint Vincent and Saint -Loup (or Saint -Leu ). A painting of the Annunciation painted by Romain Caze is placed behind the altar. For years, the first Sunday of each month, was on a pilgrimage dedicated to St Leu. It was done in order to appease the fear of children.
