Arbonne is a small town that takes place in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. It is located only five kilometers from the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, bordering the tourist towns of Biarritz and Bidart.

Things to see and do

The rich heritage of Arbonne it is an important tourists, especially in summer. Lovers of historical monuments indeed get their money.

Listed historical monument, the St. Lawrence Church was built in the course of the twelfth century. Dedicated to Saint Lawrence of Rome, the third century martyr deacon, it has inter alia a pinion original bell tower, as well as beautiful wooden galleries. Inside, a Pietà sixteenth century polychrome wooden plastered included in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. The cemetery surrounding the building has discoid steles, some of which date from the late sixteenth century. These are the witness of an important funerary art in the town of Arbonne. This is one of the richest collections of all the Basque Country, with a significant diversity. Representative of the school Arbonne, these funerary objects are of great interest.
