Charente new town, New Aquitaine, Val-d'Auge takes place about thirty kilometers of Angoulême and its comic festival, near Marcillac-Lanville, or Rouillac La Chapelle. She was born on January 1, 2010 from the merger of Bonneville, Anville, Auge-Saint-Médard and Montigné.

Things to see and do

Formerly dependence of the abbey of Charroux, Notre Dame d'Auge of Auge-Saint-Médard was built in the eleventh century and rebuilt almost entirely in the twelfth. Topped by a bell tower with three openings, it was partially restored in the late 2000s the same time, the Saint-Médard church was partially destroyed during the wars of religion.

The former guesthouse of St. Cybard Abbey, the Church of St. Clement of Bonneville dates from the late twelfth century. In the type of churches bell tower, is now listed historical monument. It is possible to admire its interior a pulpit of the eighteenth century wrought iron listed building.

It is possible to admire the remains of the castle of Anville built in the seventeenth century.

The Church of St. Peter Montigné also worth a stop with its typical architecture of the region.
