The Clos Alexandre garden is located at Amiens, in the Somme, near the university campus.
It was created in 1932, then composed of plots planted with fruit trees and vegetable gardens on either side of a main alley delimited by apple trees.
Renovated in 1992 by the children of the first owner, the Clos covers an area of 5,000 m². It consists of a kitchen garden, a rose garden, an orchard and undergrowth, and the whole is dotted with elements like pergolas.
A time labeled Remarkable Garden, the Clos Alexandre also includes thematic closures (water garden, vegetable garden, medieval cloister, labyrinth of apple trees...) and there are 250 species, more than 1500 varieties of plants, including collections of clematis or maple, and exotic specimens imported from South America in particular.
Open from April 1st to September 30th from Monday to Thursday by appointment, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Price: 5.50 euros. Information on +33 3 22 95 19 71.
