A masterpiece of the Renaissance, the Château d'Ambleville in Val-d'Oise was built in the 15th century by Jean Grappin. Built on the foundations of a first feudal fortress, it now benefits from a classification as a Historic Monument, in particular for its large staircase from the beginning of the 18th century, its gallery of tapestries, its dining room of the Directory or its cabinets of 'ebony.
Located in the heart of the Vexin Français Regional Natural Park, the Château d'Ambleville is open to the public who will be seduced by the portrait of Louis XVIII in coronation costume or by the leather salons of Avignon Louis XIV.
The building itself is surrounded by a 17th and 18th century park remodeled in the 20th century to take inspiration from the gardens of the Villa Gamberaia in Florence. Labeled Remarkable Garden, it consists of three terraces with a secret garden with a statue of Neptune, a greenhouse, a yew portico and a waterfall.
