The tower of Boutge is located in the historic center of the city of Albi, near the covered market.
Listed on the Inventory since 1971, it was built in the fifteenth century and rebuilt in the seventeenth. Square, built of brick, it has a round turret on the top floor. The access gates were built in 1670 and both the first and second floor are drilled twin windows separated by a pier. These openings are decorated with moldings shaped columns. Finally, it is noted that the upper part of the tower for defensive purposes (or at least for monitoring the surroundings of the site) has a terrace, and outside, a cantilever supported by arches worked nicely is observable.
Tower of Boutge is a dependency of the hotel which Gorsse neighbor and was built in the sixteenth century in a transitional style between Gothic and Renaissance.
