House Enjalbert Albi is located at the corner of streets and Timbal Penitents, in the historic center of the city.
It was built in the sixteenth century in a Renaissance style and exhibits including a wooden structure made of timber alternating with bricks.
The building is considered the most successful examples of this period in the city. The carved frames of windows, topped with capitals pilasters, triangular pediments, masks or lozenges decorated consoles can be distinguished. Finally, on the facade, a unique sculpture nicknamed the "little pisser" is located above the gate itself beautifully crafted.
Listed since 1921, the House Enjalbert is still privately owned, but commercial space is located on the ground floor.
The building may stake a guided walk in the center of Albi, a course dedicated to mansions and medieval and Renaissance houses being proposed by the Tourist Office. Information +33 5 63 36 36 00.
