Installed since 2014 in the Saint-Miter park, the natural history museum of Aix-en-Provence was created in the first half of the 19th century thanks to the collections of Henri Coquand. The site now has more than 376,000 specimens, as well as collections of fossil plants and dinosaur remains.
For the moment, the collections are no longer accessible to the public. The natural history museum of Aix-en-Provence, however, still offers educational workshops for children as well as lectures for all ages in one of the buildings in the Planetarium park.
