It was once the heart of Berry Ainay-le-Vieil ... The edges of the Boischaut entangled in the old Bourbonnais located in the Cher valley at the foot of the limestone hills where does swoon the Paris basin, the source of Ainay-le-Vieil, a Gallo-Roman farm (Villa) established in these places inhabited by alders which the village takes its name near the site of Der Drevant (oak) and Vaena (many), a real town with shops, Spa, for men and women, an amphitheater and a sanctuary (fanum) many gods were worshiped Borvo which was attached to the sources (Slough, Bourbon, The Bournemouth, Bourbon l'Archambault).
