Proudly enthroned in the middle of an English-style park, the Château de la Chezotte is the pride of Ahun, in Creuse. This small castle, surrounded by moats and preceded by a fortified porch, is a very fine example of a medieval ensemble.
Built in the 15th century for Jacques de La Ville, treasurer of La Marche, the Château de la Chezotte was built over a cellar and is protected by two round towers and a square tower with a spiral staircase. Visitors can also enjoy the four-hectare park with its century-old trees of various species.
