A former 12th century Cistercian abbey, the Beaupré abbey in Achy, in the Oise, was largely destroyed in the 18th century following the French Revolution. Listed in the Historic Monuments for its entrance, its regular buildings, its old mill and its grounds, it notably hosted a cotton mill in the 19th century.
From the original building, an impressive 18th century entrance remains today, a vaulted covered room which served as a refectory, the remains of the mill and the outbuildings now converted into housing.
