Relaxation heaven
There were eight of us on a club rally and we were greeted warmly at 23.00 off the late ferry and shown to our riverside pitches. Next morning awoke to wonderful scenery and a nice clean well kept quiet site. There is no pool (great) but a small shop, boule court, couple of bouncy castle type things and a computer games room for the children plus two clean toilet blocks. Wonderful area for sightseeing with restaurants etc just across the river and the local village about 1/2 mile away. 10 amp, electric which did the job and fresh bread could be ordered and collected from the site shop each morning. Ludovic also makes wonderful cider which is well recommended. We were there for the French holiday weekend and sadly it was too busy for our liking but perhaps all sites would have been the same. We all had a wonderful week and are all going back as a group again in 2014. Highly recommended if you like relatively quiet, without lots of entertainment, very very pleasant helpful host and a wonderful area to explore.

Cute site in beautiful riverside spot
Excellent site at the heart of Swiss Normandy. Helpful, friendly site manager, terrached emplacements, all with electricity. Free wi-fi, situated opposite the River Orne weir at Le Vey, just 100 yards from Clécy, where there are five restaurants on the riverside, just 500 yards walk away. The Aux Rochers one is particularly welcoming. Most useful former railway line, yards from Camoing Aux Rochers site enrance, ideal for walks. Going south you come to an impressive 1822 viaduct, built of Crecy limestone, spanning the Rier Orne. Over River Orne bridge and up 'Le Bourg' steps opposite, you come to Clécy's 'Chemin de Fer' model railway exhibtion well worth the 2012 7.5 € entry cost. The town square at Clécy, just 800 yards from the site, is charming, with mini market, tourist office, ocal artis Hardy mseum, gourmet shop, bakers and good butchers. Site takes Camping Cheques meaning you only pay £13.95 per night.
