Great location but disappointing cleanliness
Good location and easy commute into Paris. Not huge plots, we were very close to next tents with lots of noisy children. Toilets not cleaned very well, always rather smelly even immediately after cleaner had visited - he was in there for such a short time and spent longer leaning on his mop and smoking than actually cleaning! Individual wash cubicles were not cleaned the whole time we were there, and obviously had not been cleaned for a long while before that. Reported twice to the office but was told nobody used them, so they didn't have them cleaned! As we were right next to them I saw many people go to them and came out because they were in such a disgusting state! The only one usable was a communal washroom with no privacy at all, and having to wait for a sink at peak times. I told the manager that if the facilities were open that they should be clean to use, otherwise close them up and lock so they are not available - the camp site was full so it would have been nice to have the cubicles in a fit state to use. We would not return to this camp site as the manager was not able to see from our point of view, or check up on his cleaners that all facilities were fit for use, or willing to get them cleaned when we reported it. I am sure the cleaner could have done the job adequately in the time he was paid, I certainly could!

Response from the manager:
Dear Christine, Thank your comments. I rememenber you when you came to the reception to inform me about the cleaning of this part. We imediatly call the cleaner to do it. Then the next day you come to me again to claim but in fact we order the cleaner to clean again the other bulding as I told you. For your information we do 2 times cleaning all toilet per day and we use to receive many complement from others customer. Sorry for this time but my english is not very good and we misuderstand eachother about the place to clean. Thank for you understanding. Br. Didier - Owner ot the Beau village.

Couldn't have been a better start to our trip in France.
We can't put in words how helpful and understanding the staff were, after a 25 hour transit from the States we were just completely exhausted and our luggage (bicycles and gear) in shambles. The staff gave us a great site so we didn't have to carry our gear far from the gate, let us use the phone for some local calls, helped us find the market and patisserie tp get a meal, etc... When we pass thru France again on our way to Germany from Greece we'll surely stay again. Please feel free to follow our trip through Europe via Facebook as Ramblers Intrepid, merci beaucoup.

I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who helped me to my pitch. They allowed me to leave my luggage while I completed PBP, this was very helpful. The facilities were first class and kept in top condition. The ground was hard to put pegs in! Maybe they could stock some of the gas cannisters for camping stoves. All in all, a very pleasant stay, thank you.
