Wow - Clean and friendly with wonderful management
Stayed for the end of August to mid September. We found that there was two differing types of caravaners in each month. In August the visitors seemed to be school teachers at the end of their holidays. If you could talk 'teacher speak' you were part of the clan. Bbq's etc. In the September the visitors were largely well retired older couples with 'swish top of the range caravans' Again you had to be of a certain mind set to be able to have meaningful conversations and inter reactions. That being said the site is well located just outside the gates of a 13 century Bastide town and on the pilgrimage route to Campostella in Spain. Many of the pitches are fully serviced although a tad small. The site was kept very clean and the toilet facilities were excellent and could not be faulted. Down side is that there is no shop for basics on site - but the town is less than half a mile and a pleasant walk with a small Carifor local within 1000 meters. Would I go again - unhesitatingly it is yes.

Campsite Navarrenx
This is a super campsite, complete with good sized swimming pool. We liked the closeness of the campsite to the town of Navarrenx and for its easy access to the High Pyrenees. The owners, British couple Wendy and Richard work very hard to make everyone welcome, are very, very helpful and the campsite itself is kept very clean and tidy. We would have liked some control of the heat of the water in the showers as they are run off the sun panels and on very hot days, the water was a bit too hot for comfort! We shall certainly be back to this site in the future - the welcome and the general ambience was second to none. Well done, Wendy and Richard for all the work you put in to keeping this campsite a good place to visit. We also recommend the trip to Le Petit Train d'Artouste - tickets booked for us through reception and the trip was the top highlight of our visit. St Jean Pied de Port is well worth a visit, as is the town of Pau and a walk along the Boulevard des Pyrennees. Lots to see and do - we shall be back!!

Good camp site in a stunninglocation
The campsite is clean well equipped (Music in the shower block- handwash in the toilet block) and has two really helpfull owners whose local knowledge led us to sample the delights of the nearby Auberge. We used it as a base to get to ride in the Pyranees. The town is really stunning and I for one intend to come back to the site and area-We stayed on many sites on our cycle ride and this one was right up there.

Fabulous campsite in a beautiful part of France - highly recommended
This was our first time camping in France (though we've camped lots in the UK). This was a great holiday. The campsite was clean and very well run. The owners were extremely helpful (even phoning around local garages to find someone who could fix my car for me). Facilities were all great and the location is lovely. I'd highly recommend anyone to come here and we shall be going back all being well.
