Perfect for our needs
We needed a simple place to stay. We look for budget places as we only have a tiny tent and are on an extended trip. We wanted one night there, one night to leave our car somewhere safe whilst we went off on a cycle tour for a couple of days and then our last night there again. A big open field with plenty of sunlight, important if you want to get your tent dry early. Simple clean facilities, toilets, shower for €1.30, sinks and washing up sinks. No pool, no entertainment, no disco, fantastic. It cost €10.50 for one night, no charge for our little dog. Which I find a rip off when we get charged for having a dog on a campsite. She doesnt use water or take up space. All Mme asked us was to keep her on a lead and clean up after the dog. It is a haven for people who want quiet or for cycle touring or long distance walking. Why would we want to pay for excessive facilities that are not going to be used. A place like this is a gem that is becoming rarer all the time. The only thing I would suggest is for a picnic table and maybe a simple covered area for cycle tourers and hikers as that makes cooking etc a bit easier. After all, you cant pack a table in your rucksack.
