Small but beautifulA peaceful, beautifully natural site, small but adequate. Facilities were ok and scenery great. We will revisit soon.

Lovely simple campsiteThis is a charming campsite, nestled amongst the trees in a secluded and peaceful location. There is a warm welcome from the proprietor and you are made to feel very relaxed. The price was a very reasonable 8 €! Points to note are they only speak French, no english. And the nearest shops are, well, not near. So come prepared. As long as you allow for this you'll have a nice stay. I look forward to my return.

Loved it!We spent four nights camping here and loved it! It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, but Mirepoix is only 20 mins away and Carcassonne about an hour. We were a bit worried as it was so cheap we didn't know what to expect, but after staying here we can't quite work out why it's so cheap! OK, there is no pool or bar, but we wouldn't have used them if they were there. The toilets/showers/washing up areas are clean and well looked after (there are even bath mats in the showers!). There are fridges and a washing machine - everything you'd need. The pitches are lovely and the evenings are just so peaceful. The owner is also lovely - my French is not great and she didn't speak any English but we got by. If you are after somewhere close to Montsegur/Cathar sites or just somewhere quiet and away from it all, you really should consider this site. We booked by e-mailing the owner (in very basic French) giving name and address and dates required and payment was taken at the end of our stay. Right up until the moment we paid, we still thought that we had made a mistake over the price and expected to pay more, but it was indeed €4.50 per adult in high season - amazing value! You would need a car and probably your own cooking facilities (we had a camping stove), otherwise you'd have some distance to drive to eat out all the time and this would mean the driver not being able to sample the local wine! We can't recommend this site highly enough and we would love to return some time.
