La Platriere is a newly converted farmhouse offering peaceful holidays and short breaks in the heart of France. The main house offers bed & breakfast, and there is also a cottage for those who prefer to self-cater. This is all within 3 acres of garden, with a large outdoor swimming pool. The house is set away from the road, reached by a driveway, in a delightful secluded position. Situated at the top of a hill, La Platriere offers stunning views across the undulating countryside. It is the ideal stopover for those wishing to journey on to the south of France and Spain (visit the Milllau Bridge enroute) or those travelling to Switzerland and Italy. The main house offers B&B, and has 5 spacious bedrooms, ranging from a large family room (sleeps 5), double and twin-bedded rooms and a single room. All the rooms have en-suites and offer stunning views. Complimentary tea/coffee is provided in each room. Breakfast is inclusive in the price and is of continental style. English breakfasts can be provided for a small additional supplement. Guests can enjoy all the facilities at La Platriere, which include the swimming pool, boules, children swings, and bicycle hire. You can also book a day out with your host Andy for fishing in a local lake. The guest lounge is also available with open fire during those cooler winter months. Finding us is easy we are half an hour from the A75/A71 and 20 minutes from the N77 so ideal for those visiting Magny-Cours formula 1 race circuit only 28 km away. We are on the edge of the Troncais Forest renowned for being the larges oak plantation in Europe. Visit here for numerous lakes for sailing, swimming, canoeing and fishing. The area is also ideal for horseriding, cycling and walking. Many chateaux and castles, medieval villages and brocantes, markets and historic towns to visit.
