If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay for a night or more, with comfortable rooms, superb views, good food and a warm welcome... - then look no further! We are NOT by the Med or near Nice!! We are situated in the Departement of the Tarn (81) 28 km east of ALBI on the hills overlooking the river Tarn and some of its lovely valley. Off the Albi to Millau road (D999) between the small towns of alban & villefranche d'albigeois, deafened only by the singing of the birds, buzzing of the bees and the bleating of the sheep! Part of a small farming community, the house (about 150 years old,) stands in its own ground and although our neighbours are both farmers, the animals are far enough away not to cause a nuisance! There are about 300 sheep to each farm, the majority of these being kept for their milk, which goes into the making of the famous Roquefort cheese. We are within easy reach of many places of interest, with numerous walks, the most important being the GR36, which passes close by. IN the beautiful french countryside overlokking the Tarn valley, you will be welcomed as friends. QUiet surroundings but close to Albi and other beautiful towns and villages.
