Le Puits is a family run Bed & Breakfast in the village of St Martin des Besaces, also offering camping and caravanning. Perfectly situated for exploring the undulating picturesque countryside, tasting renowned cheeses, sampling sparkling cider and of course, the famous Calvados. Once a working farmstead, the grounds have been re-designed with individually marked pitches, hedges, apple trees and borders overlooking lush green fields. The farmhouse, which has been tastefully renovated, retains its country charm with 4 elegantly decorated en-suite rooms (with tea and coffee making facilities) providing comfortable accomodation and pleasant views. Breakfast is continental buffet style, including fresh croissants, locally baked bread and home-made preserves. We have a quaint bar familiarly known as Le Snug. To the North of le Puits are the D-day Landing Beaches and Bayeux with its famous tapestry. To the South is the historic and pretty village of Domfront, within Normandy's large regional park. To the East in Suisse Normand (little Switzerland) is Clécy with a miniature railway and the River Orne for canoeing and fishing. To the West lies the breathtaking Le Mont St Michel and the beaches along the Cotentin shoreline. Within the village, there is a Museum dedicated to the liberation of the Bocage Region and for the more adventurous - nearby Bungy Jumping.
