Ideally located in the heart of the Loire Valley, we welcome you facing the castle of Chaumont-sur Loire and its garden festival. At the heart of the village of Onzain (3500 inhabitants), you are fifteen minutes from Blois, Chenonceau and Amboise or half an hour or Chambord Tours. Moreover, the railway line Paris-Tours serves several times a day Onzain station (transfer station insured). By train or car, you reach the capital in less than two hours. The guest room of the Old Castle is actually a large suite of four rooms (70 m²) with private terrace upstairs wing historic buildings. Resting on a wall Talut over 500 years and 1.20 meter thick this floor rebuilt in the nineteenth century was completely renovated in 2010. You are completely independent with two private access. - Facing the courtyard, you enter a room home where documents and relics stonework evoke the ancient castle. You will take breakfast in bad weather. Climbing the stairs, you arrive in the main room bathed in light (four openings on both sides) with an area exceeding 25 m². - Side moat, a venerable stone stairway allows access to this room by climbing the wall Talut. It also serves a small sheltered terrace, nestled against the remnants of the old keep the fourteenth century. Breakfast will be served there as time permits. The master bedroom has a large leisure-time 180 bed or two beds of 90 cm. A meridian of rest (real bed of 90 cm) may possibly accommodate a child. Side yard, an office with fireplace and TV (Telephone and internet available) has a 90 cm bed (a second possible). Moats side a small rest room followed by a dressing room with a bed of 90 cm. It serves the bathroom with toilet and bath. A cot and infant equipment are available upon request.. Finally the park, large terrace (220m²) and moats secure await your walks. A boat is available to you under your responsibility to get a closer look at the swans and other ducks that frolic ornaments on the 5000 m² of moats. The Moat is populated by many animals and kept our two dogs, Willow and Weston, the four-legged friends of our guests are not allowed. Approved Gites de France (3 stars), the guest room of the Old Castle is open all year round by reservation. During the season, concerts and shows are organized by the Association for the moats The Arts of Helion. If you are our guests a day of representation, it is obvious that you are our guests. Some furniture in your room you have particularly impressed, ask! You may be purchased from the Museum Gallery of the Old Castle.
