Chambres d'Hôtes de la Grange au Pesle

Our family, including two children and our elderly grandmother had a wonderful stay at this brilliant B and B. Patrick and his family have lovingly restored this 16th century cottage and have decorated the interior accordinly with period furniture. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms had everything one needed for a comfortable stay. Our mother, who is sometimes unsteady on her feet was delighted with the Lavender room downstairs on the ground floor- and even more delighted by the shower in the spacious bathroom with safety features to help her shower without worrying about falling over. The breakfast was simply wonderful with home made yoghurt and homemade jams, honey and cheeses, sourced locally. Patrick made us feel at home and was most welcoming. The garden was beautiful with stunning views across the countryside. My only criticism was that we did not stay long enough!!

This stop was a haven of tranquility on a busy journey. The welcome was warm and helpful with the host doing everything we could think of to make our over night stop relaxing and comfortable. Considerable effort has been made to decorate the rooms in inventive and attractive ways. The result is an ambience that guarantees us another visit. The breakfast on offer was entirely made up of home made or locally sourced fresh produce that delayed our departure significantly because we felt we simply had to sample everything - especially the home made yoghurt and unusual preserves.
