An irreproachable host in every respect. Quiet, nature, exquisite food, chosen and wonderfully prepared by Marc from fresh and local produce, impeccable service provided daily by Claire. Wonderful, discreet people who made us forget about work and relax. We will endeavour to come back even if it is some 2500 km away. Thank you very much for everything.

Mark and Claire are wonderful hosts that provide a relaxing environment in a beautiful setting. Every part of the stay was wonderful. The room itself was perfect. The fire was going in the great room for the evening. We had both beakfast and dinner prepared by Mark and the initial response for each dish was “ wow, it is beautiful”. Every plate was an artistic vision. The taste was even better, if that is even possible. Clare has made each touch to the furnishings a work of art as well. What a lovely place to use as a base for day trips or to relax and go nowhere.

Welcoming& helpful hosts wonderful food !

We stay for two nights in Gourdon, is really near from beatiful places like Rocamadour or Sarlat, and cheaper to stay. The house is very nice in a rural style. When we arrive all was quiet and perfect to relax, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. You can also have dinner there, the price may seems a little high for dinner but you didn´t think this after eating. You have to prove it at least one night if you like morn cuisine. The room was nice, and everything ok. For us was a good choice to be quiet and rest, two great days to end our holidays in the Lot.

We were 3,2+ a 16 year old, occupying 2 of the 3 rooms the Newtons have. The rooms are spacious, pleasant and calming. The highlight of the stay is the amazing cooking of Mark, a very skilled and creative chef. The dinners we had were just fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much, and recommend it to our frieds.
