Georgeous home stay in charming settingThis was our first time staying at a french home stay and we had chosen it based on both reviews and pictures - it all met our expectations and more! Owner Sandrine was so welcoming and friendly and showed us around the characterful, charming farm buildings and to our self contained cottage. The decor was superb and very comfortable and warm. We had based ourselves close to the war graves and the fortified ancient town of Le Quesnoy - so a perfect spot for these locations. Close also was the Matisse museum and the Abbey of Vaucelles - well worth visiting. Sandrine also provided us with sumptious food that was all local and farm made - we highly recommend Rose Latiere - wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Sandrine and Jose for providing such a lovely and peaceful place to stay!

Beautiful accommodation & hostsWe stayed here, sadly just for 1 night as part of our 2 week holiday touring France. Accommodation was beautiful - style I like, Shabby Chic and all so clean and tidy, didn't want to leave! Hosts were very friendly and kind, their son who helped on the farm was so well mannered and the dogs/cats were fun to watch. The breakfast was set out in a huge barn, there was another couple having breakfast so it was good to meet them and share their experiences and they were also very friendly giving us maps on places to go, breakfast went on for a long time that day but it was worth it. Many thanks for sending us the photos, we hope to return!

The complete hostsSandrine and Jose-Pierre communicated well, both prior to and during our stay. I went to the local market with Sandrine and other stops on the way. Wonderful glimpse into the community's daily life. A pleasing dinner on arrival after a 5 hour drive was welcome. Our French language was assisted during our conversations, although Sandrine spoke very good English. There was another couple there also with whom we all socialised. We would recommend La Rose Laitiere to travellers in Normandy. It is close to WW1 and WW2 battle grounds for those visiting the graves of lost relatives, as we did.

Excellent and destressing place to unwind and experience the French country sideThe stay in this cottage has been an amazing experience. Lovely hosts. Sandrine is very kind and helpful. HGer husband Jose is a very nice gentleman. Son Raphael is really sweet. The place is a sure chill out place. We enjoyed the fresh food and the fresh milk from the dairy. Dairy was great. Went cycling to the nearby village Escarmain, and that too was nice. Sandrine was really kind and took us around Valenciennes and treated us with a nice lunch in the Central Place and showed us around the Sunday flea market. Would like to return again and explore more of that area. The hosts have become a good friend of ours. We hope to have them in India.
